COLEN was entrusted with the restoration of the Foyer Populaire in Court-Saint-Etienne; a red-brick and limestone building with its own concert hall, built in the early twentieth century by the management of the Usines Henricot. Built to promote staff welfare and culture, the building was saved after the company’s bankruptcy and now houses the Walloon Brabant Cultural Centre.
Our team of craftsmen was able to put all its know-how to good use in restoring the building’s listed façade. Its most beautiful architectural feature, its pediment, was dismantled and completely restored. Check out the tvcom documentary on this subject.
